Large photographic prints exploring the passage of time and the delicacy of light, texture, and material through close-up details and soft focus. They are inspired by the work of Cy Twombly and are part of a new collaborative project with artist Lou Mallozzi and pianist Myra Melford.
For us, Twombly’s work is not something to be imitated, but is rather a sophisticated catalyst of energies, gestures, and atmospheres from which to enact a wholly fresh artistic endeavor. In addition, I am showing a triptych based on my 2024 video “In the light of Harriet Backer”, much of which was shot in Spydeberg, and later screened at the Musée d’Orsay, Paris and the Kode Museum in Bergen.
