Formula for Communication is a series of prints that take a cinematic approach to image making, one that relies on poetic juxtaposition and association rather than literal illustration. The images are, in fact, derived from my video archives and conform to certain categories like hand gesture, table scene, landscape, etc. To these I add abstract painted gestures that are also subjected to the same pigment transfer process.
