Red, Red, All Red (1982)
Red, Red, All Red premiered in Stanley Korshak's storefront windows on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago. It was an intensely visual "forest" of reds: vermilion, crimson, red rose, Indian red, Venetian red, English red and other assorted light, dark, orange and purple tones in the red family and color. On the back wall there was a red painting by Swedish artist Anders Knutsson - in front of this, a red table with a red chair, red fruit in a red bowl. I poured red wine from a red carafe and sipped from a red-stemmed glass, smoked a red cigarette and extinguished into a red ashtray. I smelled red flowers from a red vase. The performance actions were natural yet symbolic of love situations and moods. I wore a ball gown of iridescent burgundy by designer, Pauline Trigere.
Red, Red, All Red is about the emotional range of the color set in a "modern baroque" time recalling solitary aspects of love, all contained in a red window space.
